KAMPHAENG PHET -- Four members of a family were killed and another man seriously injured in a head-on collision between a car and a pick-up truck in Sai Ngam district on Saturday night, police said. Pol Lt Col Pairoj Intasorn, a duty officer at Sai Ngam police station, said the accident occurred at about 8.30pm near Moo 5 village in tambon Nong Mai Kong on Kamphaeng Phet - Phichit Road. According to accounts from witnesses, the accident involved a Toyota Corolla car and a Ford Ranger pick-up truck. The car was heading for Phitsanulok while the pick-up truck was coming in the opposite direction, heading for Kamphaeng Phet, when they collided head-on. They were Pairote Suksamran, 53, chief of the storehouse of Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, his wife Wasita Tantiwarachai, 43, a phamarcist of the same hospital, and their two daughters Tonyok, 9, and Tonsom, 7.
